Link Building

Have you ever seen or read something on a website - an article, design, drawing, Flash animation, or video - that you liked so much you wanted to share it with others? Maybe you did by sending the link to others by email or through a chat message. There are many other people out there who feel the same way, but rather than using email or chat they post a link to the interesting website or content on a website over which they have control. It could be in a forum, on a blog, a personal website, an online magazine or newspaper, or a number of other types of websites. The art of building websites or content that is so interesting that people choose to link to it for the purpose of building incoming links is called linkbaiting.

Like link building, the quality of incoming links is key. It's not enough to generate incoming links if the traffic generated by those links isn't the traffic a client wants, or if the links themselves are low-quality links.
